Reimagining Philanthropy Through a Wider Lens: Time, Talent, Treasure, Ties, and Testimony 

 

What does philanthropy mean to you? For many, it refers to the large donations made by wealthy individuals known as philanthropists. Philanthropy truly means "love of humankind," and this love can be expressed in many ways.

We can show our love for our community by volunteering, hosting events, serving on committees, and using our unique skills and abilities to achieve a goal. Financial support, engaging our networks, and using our voice to spread the mission with others can also help us create a better world.

Join us for CNE's Philanthropy Day 2024! This annual event celebrates community giving and encourages innovative thinking about philanthropy.

We'll have inspiring stories throughout the day to help us learn and grow as philanthropists. We'll also explore how people from diverse backgrounds can unite to acknowledge the robust and diverse community.

This year's event will honor the Philanthropy Champions' remarkable contributions to the community. In its second year, the program recognizes individuals from marginalized and underrepresented groups in the Charlottesville Region who have made significant contributions to the community.

We hope this event inspires you to continue giving back to your community and deepens your understanding of the power of philanthropy. As we start the new year, let's connect and make a difference.
