img_0283We came. We watched. We celebrated. We feel so lucky to host this annual community celebration of giving that recognizes the generous spirit that drives our nonprofit sector. Thank you to the 400+ guests who joined us, and to our amazing nonprofits across the region who trust us to partner with you everyday to do good work better.
This year’s luncheon was especially festive as we celebrated 10 years of the community’s investment in CNE. In honor of the occasion, we were thrilled to recognize our co-founder, founding board and nonprofit members, and many others who made and make CNE possible.
If you weren’t able to join us this year, we missed you! We’re thrilled to be able to share highlights from the celebration:
Our keynote speaker was Melody Barnes, chair of the Aspen Institute’s Forum for Community Solutions and newly appointed Senior Fellow at UVA’s Miller Center.
Melody’s message focused on what makes a community resilient, stressing the    importance of collaboration. She identified key factors that make collaboration successful: engaging all voices; drawing on expertise from the public, private and nonprofit sectors;  and ensuring that philanthropists are strategic partners in the work.

We would like to thank CFA Institute for partnering with us this year and for filming Melody’s keynote.
Thanks also to Cville Tomorrow and Newsplex for the great coverage of the event.
Thank you for partnering with us over the past 10 years to build CNE into what it is today – a vital community asset. We made you a video!  We’re looking forward to the next 10 years!
