What Should the Board’s Role be in Reopening and Reentry?
Do you serve on a nonprofit board or work closely with your organization’s board? Are you wondering how your board can best support your mission as we move into the next phase of the pandemic? How can you plan for and mitigate risk for your organization?
Nonprofits need strong board leadership to succeed. We feel this more acutely in times of change. Right now, our organizations are being forced to adapt to an uncertain social and economic environment. This is a time for nonprofit boards to step up—to stay connected, to support their staff, and be intentional and decisive.
CNE’s Cristine Nardi and Cindy Colson will lead this online session to provide a framework for how your board can provide effective leadership during this stage of our current crisis. They’ll focus on what to do and what not to do, answer questions from participants, and offer real-time problem-solving to help your board be at its best.
This one-hour session will devote 40 minutes to a presentation and 20 minutes to discussion and problem-solving.
This session will be geared towards nonprofit board members and the executive staff who work with them.
This session is part of CNE’s Practicing Strategic Resilience series, online programs that provide nonprofit practitioners with timely guidance on issues of the utmost concern during the current crisis related to COVID-19.
