Join Cristine Nardi, Paitra Russell, PhD, and Joeffrey Trimmingham for an engaging presentation highlighting the findings of CNE’s Virginia Nonprofit Sector Report: A 2023 Snapshot. The report, in its first iteration, provides baseline data and a snapshot of the nonprofit sector at statewide and local levels. From health and human services to the arts and the environment, the study showcases the priorities and needs of a broad range of nonprofits and their services that build community in every geographic region across Virginia.

During this town hall, you can expect:

• An overview of the sector itself, including economic impact and employment data.
• Aggregated information about the nonprofit sector and key takeaways with an eye toward understanding equity within the landscape. The research team worked to ensure the inclusion of a diverse range of nonprofit entities and groups, with over 240 survey responses across the Commonwealth.
• A source of actionable principles for nonprofits, funders, and government officials. We encourage engagement and dialogue around the capacity building needs of the sector using the findings of this report and CNE’s 7 Actionable Principles.
• An interactive session with opportunities to give feedback and ask questions from the audience.
