POP Talk: Addressing Power Imbalances
Do you want to ensure that everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves and that more voices are heard? Does your project struggle to connect with members of underrepresented groups? Come share your challenges and work towards solutions for harnessing the power of partnerships.
This community conversation focuses on managing power imbalances to ensure effective and robust participation by group members. Power imbalances, unaddressed, can lead to the diminished participation or complete loss of key voices at the table–often those traditionally underrepresented in organizational and community decision-making.
This session is part of our Power of Partnership (POP) Talks series, which tackles challenges faced by teams, partnerships, and coalitions. Led by CNE’s Senior Consultant, Mary Davis Hamlin, the innovative format features 45 minutes of content presentation then opens the remaining 45 minutes for peer-to-peer dialogue, learning, and problem-solving. POP Talks are a product of CoLab.
