Great Beginnings and Graceful Endings
Every employment relationship has a beginning and a conclusion. Both are critically important to an organization because there can be serious legal (and practical) implications if either is not handled correctly. Small business and nonprofit attorney Eric Perkins will offer tips on how organizations can more effectively navigate both ends of the employment relationship. Questions not to ask, common mistakes to avoid, applicable legal principles to remember, and best practices for reducing liability risk during the hiring and termination of employees will be the focus of this workshop, with plenty of time to answer questions from the audience.
This training is part of our Brown Bag Lunch series–informative sessions to get you thinking about the topics that matter to nonprofits. Don’t forget your lunch!
