Great Beginnings and Graceful Endings—Tips for Navigating the Employee Hiring and Termination Process
Every employment relationship has a beginning and a conclusion. Both are critically important to an organization because there can be serious legal (and practical) implications if either is not handled correctly.
Small business and nonprofit attorney Eric Perkins will offer tips on how organizations can more effectively navigate both ends of the employment relationship. Eric will cover:
- Questions not to ask
- Common mistakes to avoid,
- Applicable legal principles to remember, and
- Leading practices for reducing liability risk
This discussion of the hiring and termination of employees will include plenty of time questions from the audience.
Executive directors, board chairs, and hiring managers will all benefit from this informative session.
This session is part of our Brown Bag Lunch Series. Please feel free to bring your lunch!
