Board Structure: Who Knew We had so Many Choices?
Has the board taken the time to question how it is structured and how it’s structure impacts operations? Is your board being underutilized? This training addresses how best to organize board committees for effective governance. We will discuss common committee and board structures and answer questions about how structure impacts operations.
Cindy Colson, CNE Director of Strategic Initiatives, will guide participants through an interactive session focused on choices in board structure. Participants will:
- Identify a variety of ways to organize a board
- Test board committee trends against their board structure
- Consider how meeting tools such as agendas, board operations calendar, committee work plans, and board policies impact board operations
For the best results for your organization, we recommend that at least two board representatives attend the workshop.
Short for “Power of Partnership,” POP Talks provide a space for a facilitated discussion with other practitioners around topics that matter to you.
