Engaging Community Voice
Do you want your organization to more fully engage with the community members you serve?
If so, join Ebony Walden for this session to increase your capacity to engage with clients and surrounding communities in conversations and partnerships that empower and catalyze change. Using interactive presentations, activities, and group discussions, the workshop will introduce participants to a model for thinking about community engagement, support them in conducting a short assessment of their organizations’ efforts to date, and get them started on building an engagement strategy for their organizations.
Through this training, you’ll learn to design and plan effective community engagement that:
- Is clear in the level of input, goals and impact
- Involves (and hopefully empowers) a diversity of community stakeholders
- Employs a diversity of engagement methods and tools.
This training is intended for executive directors and others involved in developing organizational strategy.
American Sign Language interpreters or other communication access accommodations are available upon request. Please submit any accommodations requests to Andrew Robinson, Program Manager, 434-951-9042 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
