Diversity and Overcoming Unconscious Bias

Why is having a diverse and inclusive organization important? Organizations that increase diversity see improved innovation, better decision-making, and a more effective workforce. Greater diversity has also been linked to improvements in employee retention.

What can be a barrier to a diverse and inclusive organization? Implicit attitudes and unconscious biases.

Join CNE and Dr. Iglesias to learn how the implicit attitudes model can help address bias and stigma in workplace environments and help you build a more multicultural organization. Participants will review aspects of recruitment, hiring and retention, intra-staff dynamics, allyship in the workplace, and working through mistakes and disagreements. This session will provide the tools you need to turn your commitment to inclusion into action steps.
