Creating Urgency: An Introduction to Change Management
Do you see the change that needs to happen, but struggle with “how” of bringing it about? Learn to become an agent for change in your organization.
Making change happen requires intention and planning, getting others on board, and setting and meeting short and long term goals. It doesn’t take place overnight and you can’t do it alone.
Drawing on John Kotter’s 8-Step Change Model with special emphasis on creating urgency among stakeholders, this session will:
- Introduce a framework for leading change
- Provide examples and real-world scenarios
- Common missteps and how to avoid them
Jeff Lucas leads the Be Safe Performance Improvement program at UVA Health and is a graduate of CNE’s Board Academy.
This session will benefit anyone looking to make change within their organization—whether they are an executive director, board member, or staff member.
