Captivating Collateral: How to write with donors in mind
You want to inspire people to give. Every word you write should contribute to your fundraising efforts. You need to communicate your organization’s mission and beliefs—whether you’re writing a web page, an annual appeal, or a thank-you letter.
Join independent grant writer and consultant Laurie Rogers to learn how to create captivating collateral for all aspects of your fundraising strategy. Through participating in this two-hour workshop you will learn to:
- Identify your audience and approach them with a “donor-centric” approach,
- Drill down to understand why your donors’ investments matter to them, and
- Communicate that meaning in a way that will inspire them to give.
***In this workshop, you’ll have a chance to hone some of your existing copy. Please bring some of your marketing material (in hard copy) to take full advantage of the participatory activities.***
Anyone writing marketing materials for fundraising purposes—development professionals, executive directors, board members, or other volunteers—will find value in this training.
