Bridging the Gap: A Guide to Improving Your Fundraising System
Do you feel under pressure to purchase costly donor management software? Do you wonder whether this investment will add little value to your bottom-line fundraising?
Tracy Proctor, Director of Development at Tandem Friends School, and Joanna Joslyn, Lead Consultant and Project Manager of Joslyn Creative, have designed this workshop to address your concerns, featuring small group break-out sessions, group discussion, Q&A, and facilitated peer sharing.
This hands-on, 90-minute session will help decision-makers identify what investments will have the greatest impact on fundraising effectiveness. Participants will:
- Dig into the four components of a fundraising system (spoiler alert—only one involves a database),
- Introduce a diagnostic process for assessing the strengths and vulnerabilities of your “current” system,
- Assign values to the components of your “ideal” system, and
- Discuss strategies for bridging the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
Executive directors, development and fundraising staff, as well as board fundraising committee members, are encouraged to attend.
American Sign Language interpreters or other communication access accommodations are available upon request. Please submit any accommodations requests to Andrew Robinson, Program Manager, 434-951-9042 or arobinson@thecne.org.
