The annual fund serves to establish a base of individual donors that can involve, inform, and create connections with others to your organization. It secures a steady flow of income for programs and services, and provides a launching point for further fundraising efforts beyond this baseline. And research shows that those organizations with strong annual fund plans are more likely to reach their fundraising goals than those without. But what contributes to a successful annual fund strategy?

Join CNE and Laurie Rogers to learn how to create and implement a strong plan, specific to the needs of your organization. Selected participants will attend sessions once per week for five weeks. Assigned homework will include writing inside and outside of sessions, with the opportunity to receive individualized feedback from the trainer.

• Session 2, 6/9/16, 9am – 11am: Analyzing Last Year’s Efforts
• Session 3, 6/16/16, 9am – 12pm: Planning for Next Year
• Session 4, 6/23/16, 9am – 12pm: Designing Your Stewardship Plan- Thanking Your Donors
• Session 5, 6/30/16, 9am – 12pm: Presenting Your Plan

Participants will walk away with a solidified plan to implement back at their organizations, that is based off of an analysis of previous years’ efforts and that incorporates future efforts that will lead to even greater success.  In order to design this plan, sessions 2-4 (below) allow for substantial working time and small group consultations with the trainer.

Participation is limited to CNE member organizations only and will be taking place at CNE’s office in Charlottesville, VA. The cost of training is $300 for one staff member or $500 for two members of your organization.
