Advocacy Tools: Planning and Messaging
Whether you are wanting to push for a policy change, raise awareness about a pressing issue, or make a clear statement of principle on a divisive topic, you’ll want some media savvy to be seen and heard.
Join Marijean Oldham of Jaggers Communications to learn a tested approach to getting your message out. Participants will cover the following topics:
- Creating a media plan
- Crafting and framing a clear message
- Using media outlets to get your message out
- Tips for writing press releases and giving interviews
This training will benefit Board Chairs, Executive Directors, Communication Directors — and anyone who works on communications strategy or communicates directly with the media.
