Build Relationships

To build relationships, it is important that nonprofits cultivate and steward funder relationships and seek to build on shared interests and foster mutual trust and accountability. Without strong relationships, it is more difficult for funders to understand the complexity of the work and actively engage their skills and networks. The tools and resources on the 7 Actionable Principles website can help you build stronger relationships. This short, interactive session will introduce you to some of those tools and support you in putting this principle into action.

We encourage you to watch this short video to prepare for the session.

Virginia nonprofits, funders, and community partners are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

American Sign Language interpreters or other communication access accommodations are available upon request. Please submit any accommodations requests to Andrew Robinson, Program Manager, 434-951-9042 or arobinson@thecne.org.

CNE offers coaching and consulting for nonprofits and funders. CNE members receive an hour of complimentary support and coaching around the principles, and technical assistance is available for nonprofits and for funders at member and non-member rates.
