Position Summary: As a Fundraising and Development Officer, your mission is to drive our organization’s philanthropic efforts, enabling us to fulfill our mission of providing compassionate care. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing a wide range of fundraising initiatives and events, sponsorships, and giving societies. Your work will directly impact our ability to fund essential programs and services.

Job Duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Annual Fund and Piedmont Society Oversight: Manage all
aspects of the Annual Fund and Piedmont Society, including
appeals, data segmentation, upgrade strategy, reporting,
stewardship, and benchmarking.

• Grant Management: Oversee all grant applications and
submissions, develop strong relationships with funders, and
collaborate with team members on submissions.

• Event Management: Plan and execute fundraising events and
unique opportunities, secure corporate sponsorships, manage
volunteer committees, establish realistic event goals, and
maintain budget expenses.

• Digital Fundraising: Collaborate with the
marketing/communications team on digital fundraising
strategies, including social media campaigns and digital
communication strategies. Manage media and PR opportunities
to highlight development programs and gifts.

Skills Required

Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of fundraising
experience

• Demonstrated expertise in annual gift fundraising, grant writing,
benchmarking, personal solicitations, and event management

• Strong organizational and relationship management skills

• The ability to work autonomously, managing multiple projects on
a timely basis

• Previous experience with database programs such as Blackbaud’s
Raiser’s Edge

Work Schedule

Core office hours are 8:30 – 5:00
