Special Events

The special events displayed on this calendar are annual nonprofit fundraisers or other events of significant note. Nonprofits can submit up to two events annually.

We hope this will help our nonprofits and local committees plan annual fundraisers – thereby avoiding overlap in busy schedules.

Repair Café

October 12, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Tons of useful stuff ends up in landfills every year. But it doesn’t have to. If you’ve got broken stuff, don’t toss it. Fix it!

Once again, the Cville TimeBank is partnering with the Habitat Store for our popular Repair Café. Bring your broken baubles, blouses, blenders, bikes and other stuff. If it’s broken, our cheerful volunteers will do their best to fix it, free. You’ll find us at the Habitat Store on Harris Street in Charlottesville on October 12, from 12:30 to 4:00 PM.

Bring up to 3 items – clothing, jewelry, toys, bikes, small appliances, and other household items. You can sit down and watch, ask questions, and even help fix things. Kids of all ages can work with tools at the Take-Apart Table and see what’s inside our stuff. And while you’re at the Habitat Store, plan to shop their amazing selection of home goods. All profits go toward building more affordable housing in our area.

Cville TimeBank Repair Café is a totally free community event, open to everyone. Tell your friends!
