Lafayette School is proudly presenting a FREE conference this August: TEENS AND TRAUMA, ADOLESCENTS AND ATTACHMENT presented by Patricia “Trysh” Huntington-Buchan, M.A., LMFT.
Trysh Huntington-Buchan brings to light a perspective of working with children and adolescents that encompasses her decades-long work with significantly traumatized young people in wilderness settings. She has helped young women find their authentic selves and voices over her career. The former Clinical Coordinator at The Academy at Trails Carolina, Trysh continues to provide therapy at that school while she also establishes a private practice. Trysh was a former instructor, course director, and program director with the Outward Bound Organization before joining the School of Urban Wilderness Survival of the Carolinas as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2011. Trysh was a featured guest of Lon Woodbury for a podcast of The Woodbury Report and strugglingteens.com entitled, “Helping Female Teens Find Their Voice”Outside of work, Trysh can be found enjoying outdoor adventures with her husband and their 3 dogs, traveling, and she is an avid mountain bike rider.
