Mission Statement
Central Virginia Community Justice provides a brave space for those involved in harm to lead their own accountability and healing. We facilitate restorative conferences to divert cases away from the criminal system, as well as to repair harms outside of the system. Through dialogue, those impacted by harm have voice and agency to address their needs, and those responsible for harm have the opportunity to take accountability through actions and acknowledgement.

Description: | When we bring people together for a dialogue about a situation of harm, it is important to create a comfortable and welcoming environment. This involves bringing food, drinks, and comfort items; as well as chart paper, markers, talking pieces, tissues, and other meeting supplies. You can support our work by helping to ensure that we can provide these materials for each session, in order to help our participants and facilitators bring their best selves to the process. |
