Mission Statement
TheatreCHS Boosters (TCB) is a 501(c)(3) organization operated exclusively to support Charlottesville High School’s Theatre Department. We are parent volunteers working together with student thespians to raise funds for CHS's award-winning drama program.
Overview
TCB presents spirited events -- like Hearts for the Arts and Dessert Theatre -- and organizes collaborative efforts like building sets, providing rehearsal snacks and selling concessions. TCB's revenue covers essentials like production costs, royalties, conference fees and travel expenses. We are dedicated to making the theatre's enrichment accessible to all students who want to participate, regardless of financial situations.
Incorporated in October 2018, TCB raises funds and provides administrative assistance so that the CHS Theatre Department can mount multiple, high-caliber productions, despite its small, allotted budget. The TheatreCHS Boosters supports the department, so the director and staff can focus on giving students a rich theatre education and the tools and experience to enter competitive theatre programs in college and beyond.
