Key Programs
Program 1 |
Title: | Home Sector |
Description: | The Home Energy Challenge is a fun, easy way to take control of your home’s emissions and lose some carbon “weight.” Host a Power Party with 5-10 of your friends and help each other take action. During the “season” (Sept-March or Feb-June) your team will choose from a variety of actions that fit your budget and lifestyle and have 4-6 months to complete actions. Then we celebrate at at a local brewery to share what we were able to accomplish together! It’s fun, informative, and practical. The best part? We can see how every choice we make adds to the progress we make together, as a community. Email andrea@cvilleclimate.org to schedule your party. |
Program 2 |
Title: | Business Sector |
Description: | Charlottesville Climate Collaborative’s Green Business Alliance (GBA) is a leadership circle of like-minded mid and large-size businesses committed to managing their energy use, reducing costs, mitigating risk, and reducing their climate impact. Members embrace a shared climate action commitment and are empowered to achieve that commitment through solutions that work for their business. C3 supports the GBA members by tracking their energy use, facilitating solutions as a group, and highlighting success. The GBA will also provide a forum to develop policy recommendations which advance members’ clean energy, energy efficiency, and transportation objectives. |
Program 3 |
Title: | Climate Policy |
Description: | C3’s Climate Policy Team acts as a catalyst to advance climate policies, programs, technologies, investments, and sustainable behaviors. We are working closely with our community’s stakeholders to pinpoint and promote the best set of climate policies for a future with economic prosperity, a healthy environment, and an equitable and democratic access to clean energy. |
