Mission Statement
The Virginia Institute of Autism is dedicated to helping people overcome the challenges of autism through innovative, evidence-based programs in education, outreach, and adult services.
Overview
We rise to the challenge. The Virginia Institute of Autism is pioneering the education and support of people with autism across the spectrum and across their lifespan. Our programs use the proven principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to foster the development of language, interpersonal skills, educational progress, and social engagement—with life changing results.
The challenges of autism are profound, and they don’t stop at the school-house door. Our school, outpatient services, and adult support give individuals, families, and communities the tools to rise to meet those challenges every day.
