On Our Own’s mission is to provide free peer support, self-help, education, guidance, advocacy, and referral services for adults who acknowledge that they have experienced significant problems in their lives due to challenges with mental health, substance use, or trauma.

What is On Our Own?
On Our Own is a Peer Support Recovery Center for folks in the Charlottesville and surrounding counties dealing with mental health challenges. We operate on the premise that anyone can get well and stay well. We do recover! We offer free groups and walk-in peer support 6 days a week. Our house provides a recovery oriented community full of hope and support
