The ideal volunteer would possess excellent written and other communication skills, have a working knowledge of basic veterinary medicine and terminology, be able to handle stressful situations when emergencies arise with our clients’ pets and be able to make quick, triage decisions regarding pets’ needs over the phone. Must also be able to work independently, yet within a very small team organizational format. Must have a strong volunteer ethic, be available to volunteer approximately 10-20 hours per week from 9AM – 4PM, Monday through Friday. Prefer someone willing to help with other organizational duties such as fund raising, information tables, public outreach and social media management.
