Description
PACEM operates seasonal shelters from the end of October through mid-April—including holidays. The Shelter Director will work in close coordination with the Program Director to maintain PACEM’s winter shelter schedule, by continually improving the quality of congregational volunteers’ experience, and managing PACEM’s seasonal shelter staff. Evening and weekend hours are required. Approximately 25 hours per week during the shelter season.
Skills Required
Experience working with congregations is preferred. The ability to work with a diverse shelter staff and a high comfort level working with individuals who are homeless is required. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Previous experience in social services or volunteer management is helpful.
