Description

The Charlottesville Waldorf School (CWS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced educational leader to guide our school and community.  The School Director is responsible for the overall management of all non-teaching school operations, including finances, enrollment and admissions, marketing and outreach, development, facilities management, and auxiliary programs.

The School Director is a servant-leadership* position that facilitates the collaboration of the full faculty, parents, Administration, and the Board of Trustees.  The ideal candidate is one who has experience and success working in a collaborative environment, demonstrates excellent communication skills, and has extensive experience in independent school administration.

*Servant Leadership Defined: A servant-leader focuses primarily on the growth and well-being of people and the communities to which they belong.  While traditional leadership often involves the accumulation and exercise of power by one at the ‘top of the pyramid’, a servant-leader shares power and puts the needs of other first.

Interested applicants should submit a resume, letter of interest, and three references to the Governance Committee at cwsgovernance@cwaldorf.org
