Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages the scheduling process for free tax preparation at multiple sites
- Answers phones and emails, schedules and confirms appointments, and inputs client data into scheduling and tax prep systems.
- Organizes workflow and appointment by reading and routing correspondence, collecting client information, and managing assignments.
- Provides support to departments as needed.
- Completes requests by greeting clients, in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.
- Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Interacts with community members to promote the tax prep program.

Scheduler Qualifications/Skills:
- Scheduling
- Administrative writing skills
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and organization
- Travel logistics
- Verbal communication
- Microsoft Office skills
- Adept at learning new software
- Customer service experience a plus.
Work Schedule
Part-time, 20-30 hours per week, flexible schedule, as agreed to with manager. Flexibility to work some weekends would be ideal.
There is a possibility that this position could grow into a full-time position with benefits in 2023, it can also stay part-time if the candidate prefers.
Additional Info
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- University/college degree is an asset.
- Previous administrative experience preferred.
- Familiarity with tax preparation or accounting would be a plus.
- VITA certification is a plus
