Description

Albemarle County’s Office of Housing (ACOH) is seeking a Full-Time Rental Assistance Coordinator to join the Housing Team.

We aim to recruit a new team member from a diverse pool of candidates and encourage all to apply. While an affordable housing background is preferred, it is not required. Please carefully review the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) to determine if your professional experience – in housing or another sector – may make you a strong candidate. Applicants with closely aligned KSAs should strongly consider applying.

While the job application is listed on the Commonwealth of Virginia job site, note that The Office of Housing is a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funded Public Housing Agency (PHA) that operates HUD-funded programming. Candidates are not required to have previous experience in state, local government, or affordable housing. Further, know that the eventual hire will be provided the opportunity to attend numerous trainings to fill in housing-specific knowledge gaps, if they exist. In short, the hire will be provided the tools required to be successful in the position. We seek to hire the right person for the job not just the right experience for the job.

Thank you for your interest in working with Albemarle County’s Office of Housing!
