About Us: CIMA Consulting is a small firm in Charlottesville, VA providing clients with strategic insight and support through a range of deliverables. Today we are a team of six working on behalf of organizations across the country. All our work furthers clients’ organizational capacity via fundraising, business development, and organizational design. Our clients are socially conscious organizations seeking a thoughtful, agile, results-oriented firm to assist them in achieving their mission.

As CIMA grows, we are seeking a project manager to serve one or more of our current clients. Project managers will work 20-30 hours per week.

Job Duties

Client and Project Management:

  1. Interface with current clients to ensure CIMA is appropriately tracking towards agreed-upon goals for grant writing, program design, and organizational development.
  2. Develop and implement fundraising plans to manage proposals, reports, and all related communications to ensure CIMA will achieve its goals.
  3. Provide logistical support to clients for meetings, including emails, calls, and other preparatory notes to ensure clients are prepared to meet with their stakeholders.
  4. Maintain or manage the maintenance of internal databases to track communications and development-related activities.
  5. Provide research support for client funding opportunities.
  6. Write compelling narrative for letters of inquiry, proposals, and other required collateral.
  7. Build strong personal relationships with stakeholders through written and phone outreach.
  8. Develop projects to evaluate data for clients and for CIMA.
  9. Assist in supporting a creative, supportive, results-driven approach.

And should have the following specific skills or qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least two years of work experience
  • Strong recommendations from previous employers
  • Proven track record of business development, fundraising, or written collateral
