In addition, over 100 off-campus programs throughout the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Asia along with a growing list of online programs. The centerpiece of TMI learning is the guided use of Hemi-Sync® audio technologies created by Robert Monroe more than 40 years ago, now used by millions to induce expanded states of awareness.

The Location: Faber, Virginia
The Role: Program Director
Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Program Director will be responsible for the operational success of TMI’s residential, off-campus and online programs ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation. The Director of Programs will directly manage the Program Administrator and work closely with the program trainers, guest speakers and other TMI support staff with the goal of delivering quality programs within budget guidelines.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3 years’ experience in developing residential retreat or training programs
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer database management (Access experience preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities, administrative staff, and logistics
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task with great follow-up skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and quickly adjust when priorities shift

 

 

Job Duties

Responsibilities:

Residential and Online Programs:

  • Develop and manage annual program schedule and budget to include staffing trainers
  • Refine, update and maintain existing program exercises and all supporting program materials
  • Research and propose new residential and online programs
  • Review program proposals and make recommendation to ED
  • Aid in design & production of viable program projects
  • Direct the development and implementation of new programs (including international)
  • Ensure that programs operate within the policies of the organization and comply with all relevant legal and professional standards
  • Review program evaluations, share with relevant staff and take corrective action as needed
  • Maintain good communications with all TMI staff regarding programs
  • Work with Marketing to develop program campaigns

Residential Trainers, Program Speakers and Staff:

  • Manage relationships with guest speakers, trainers and other program related contracted labor (training, schedules, contracts, certifications and performance evaluations)
  • Maintain good communications with program trainers regarding changes in policy, procedures and staff changes
  • Maintain trainer database and website bios

Outreach Programs:

  • Assist Manager of Outreach Education & Training in reviewing and approving Outreach Trainer applications
  • Develop with Manager of Outreach Education & Training and Executive Director policies for maintaining and increasing worldwide outreach efforts

General:

  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries from interested prospects regarding programs
  • Review and approve program participant applications as needed
  • Review and approve scholarship applications with the Program Registrar
  • Meet with participants as requested
  • Provide other program or trainer-related support as needed

Skills Required

Work Schedule

Full-time, Monday-Friday 9-6

Occasionally some weekends

Additional Info

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in training TMI programs or professional program trainer with previous participation
    in core TMI programs
  • Knowledge of TMI history, goals, and mission

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: There are moderate physical requirements for this position. While performing the duties of this job, you may be regularly required to walk, sit, or stand and occasionally required to climb or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
