Description
Piedmont Housing Alliance is seeking a Housing Counselor to join our award-winning team. Piedmont Housing Alliance is a successful and innovative non-profit organization with a mission to create housing opportunities and build community through education, lending, and development. Our housing counselors work one-on-one with clients to help them achieve their goals for housing stability and financial opportunity with money management, credit, home ownership, and foreclosure counseling. In addition, the housing counseling team offers financial education and homebuyer education classes.
Skills Required
The ideal candidate has an understanding of counseling/coaching, personal finance, rental process, mortgage financing and home purchase process. HUD certification, experience or training in housing counseling is preferred. Bachelors’ degree or equivalent and minimum of two years of related experience, and/or similar combination of education and experience. Must have strong computer skills. Must be able to successfully pass all required background checks and other pre-employment screening.
