Nelson County Community Development Foundation, an affordable Housing Non-Profit is seeking a Deputy Director to support the Executive Director in program, project and daily operations management. The Deputy Director will serve under and assist the Executive Director in planning and administering programs and projects, compliance with regulations and property management. This is a full-time, 40-hour/week position.
Management of 100 clients in a rent subsidy program serving three counties, including annual certifications and unit inspections (involves travel time).
Assisting in the management and upkeep of 12 NCCDF rental units.
Assisting with set up, execution and completion of homeowner rehabilitation projects using federal funds, management of sub-contractors, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Assisting in the management and daily operations of the Nelson Center, LLC, leased office space with 8 tenants.
Working with the Director to coordinate and supervise daily operations.
Assisting with bookkeeping and financial oversight, including development of budgets and expense monitoring.
Creating financial and other reports to submit to the Director and Board of Directors.
Fulfilling duties assigned by the Director.
Proven experience as an assistant director or other similar position.
Experience in project and operations management.
Knowledge and/or experience in construction management or general construction preferable.
Outstanding communication and public speaking skills.
Proficient in MS Office, relational databases.
Organizational and leadership skills/Aptitude for problem solving.
BA/BS preferred, but practical work experience in field can qualify.
