Description

Hospice of the Piedmont seeks an experienced full-time Chief Financial Officer with a passion and commitment to HOP’s mission.  The Chief Financial Officer is an integral member of the leadership team and reports to the President and CEO.  The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and in service of the Company’s strategic goals and objectives.  Responsible for the direct supervision of the Finance and Accounting departments, oversees audit processes, administration of contracts, and ensures the development of annual and long-range budgeting.

Skills Required

The Chief Financial Officer position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial administration with previous supervisory experience required.  Experience with third party reimbursement and healthcare background required; hospital experience preferred.  Financial administration experience in hospice services preferred.

Outstanding communication and presentation skills with a variety of audiences. Strategic-minded and highly adaptable; ability to understand data and produce actionable financial analysis.  Proactive and collaborative, team-oriented with the ability to partner with others at all levels.  Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to manage, develop and motivate staff.  Superior analytical, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
