Description

Kid Pan Alley (KPA), a nonprofit arts organization that provides in-school and online group songwriting workshops to children of all ages, seeks a Bookkeeper / Office Manager to join our team.  This is a part-time position (approx 20 hours per week). Job Duties

The Bookkeeper / Office Manager handles all administrative and accounting functions that support the day-to-day operations of the organization.

Administrative Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate program schedules and logistics with schools, camps, and other partners
  • Organize and maintain contact lists, online files, and sales/marketing databases
  • Coordinate staff meetings, conference calls, event registrations, and travel arrangements
  • Assist with preparation of newsletters, correspondence, reports, and funding requests
  • Screen/answer general phone and email inquiries
  • Manage/order office supplies and equipment as needed

Bookkeeping Responsibilities include:

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Process payroll and expense reports
  • Track donations/grants and maintain donor database
  • Maintain financial/accounting data and prepare financial reports as needed
  • Oversee preparation of tax filings and other documentation (i.e. 990, SAM, VADACS, form 102, etc)

Skills Required

Qualifications

  • Admin/Bookkeeping experience (3+ years), preferably in non-profit sector
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Proficient with Quickbooks Online (including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting)
  • Proficient with Mac computers, Microsoft Office software (including Excel), Google Drive, and CRM software/database management (i.e. Salesforce)
  • Proactive self-starter and team player with a positive disposition

Work Schedule

Approx 20 hours per week (Mon-Fri), primarily remote.
