Description

Piedmont Housing Alliance has the opportunity to host an AmeriCorps VISTA member for a one-year service term, thanks to the Virginia Housing Alliance capacity building initiative.

Piedmont Housing Alliance is in search of a VISTA member to build capacity by implementing best practices and innovations in sustainable green housing development and property management, and in technologies for optimal client service effectiveness and impact. We seek to expand the impact and quality of our housing opportunities and services through this capacity building initiative focused on 1) green, healthy, and sustainable building, and 2) collaboration and technology to improve housing navigation for low-income renters. Specific project objectives are to 1) develop green building goals, guidelines, policies and procedures for both housing development and property management/maintenance, and 2) research and recommend opportunities to increase client service delivery effectiveness and impact with technology, including a housing navigation project.
