Description
Piedmont Journalism is seeking a consultant to manage records and provide services in support of the volunteer directors, officers, and advisors of Piedmont Journalism Foundation (PJF), an independent nonpartisan nonprofit news organization that informs Fauquier County residents through local news and ownership of the Fauquier Times newspaper. The Consultant will dedicate up to 25 hours of work per month through December 31, 2021, at the rate of $1000 per month.
Scope of work:
- Update web content regularly for www.piedmontjournalism.org.
- Enter, update, and organize contacts lists and donor lists on DonorPerfect software or other Constituent Relations Management system.
- Handle messages sent to PJF’s email address or left on PJF’s phone line in coordination with the office of PJF’s Secretary.
- Organize and digitize PJF records such as Board minutes, contracts, expenses, financial statements, state filings, and tax forms.
- Assist in scheduling and organizing meetings, teleconferences, and events.
- Support marketing efforts for PJF, in coordination with the Fauquier Times.
- Establish and oversee PJF’s presence on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Assist in developing an e-mail newsletter and in establishing a membership program.
