Description

Olivet Presbyterian Church is seeking a part time Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Pastor, program staff, volunteer ministry leaders, and the members of the Session. The position is supervised by the Pastor, but expected to perform tasks requested by staff members, ministry leaders, and members of the Session. The Administrative Assistant is vital to the effective functioning of Olivet’s office, and performs a number of key functions including:

  • Maintenance of critical church data.
  • Serves as main receptionist for phone calls and walk-ins as well as the first care-giver to people with pastoral needs who are contacting the church.
  • Maintenance of church calendar and coordination of facility use.
  • Inventorying and ordering supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

This position requires someone with strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, ability to meet deadlines, efficient use of time, ownership of tasks, and professionalism.
