Our ideal Board member has:

  • Passion for C4K’s mission
  • Interest in engaging in a strategic planning process
  • Commitment to supporting community equity, diversity, and inclusion

Individual board member responsibilities:

  • Understand C4K’sā€™ mission, programs, and goals
  • Build resources for the organization
  • Serve as enthusiastic ambassadors and engage in identifying new financial resources that advance short-term and long-term development goals
  • Share connections, networks, and resources to advance our mission
  • Participate in board meetings, committees, fundraising meetings and events, and special events
  • Commit to a three-year term, in accordance with our by-laws and governance procedures

 

Annual Time Commitment (including committee meetings, special events, work outside the board, etc.)

The C4K board meets six times a year (every other month). We ask that each Director serves on at least one committee. Most committees meet 4-6 times a year. Directors have the opportunity to conference in to most board and committee meetings. C4K hosts one special event every Fall – C4K Showcase.
