Pheobe Brown is a nonprofit professional with eight years experience in nonprofit programming and administration. Pheobe began her career in the United States Senate before obtaining a Master’s degree in International Peace Studies from Trinity College Dublin. Her research focused on the importance of volunteering to develop social capital.
Since 2009, Pheobe has worked to support and develop volunteer programs, strong business practices, and ensure strategic mission and program alignment in Northern Virginia. Pheobe worked with Volunteer Fairfax and Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia and served on the boards of the Arlington Interfaith Council and the Northern Virginia Association of Volunteer Administrators.
In 2016 Pheobe relocated to Charlottesville, VA, and began working as an independent consultant providing program development, grant-writing, and transition management services for nonprofits.
Pheobe is an advocate of community engagement and volunteerism. She believes that individuals can make a difference simply by becoming involved in their community.
