- a non-profit culinary social enterprise [CHANGE 2000] that was a new paradigm of a school-to-work initiative for high school students. After it was piloted in a NYC public high school and covered by ABC TV Eye Witness News, CHANGE 2000 was hired by The Riverside Church, NYC, a major institution with 24 event venues and a cathedral modeled after Chartres – to run its café and catering operation. In 24 months, Honie Ann and her team catered and managed 700 events and ran the café 6 days/wk for lunch and breakfast. It earned 50% of its budget from the sale of its products and services.
Since relocating to Charlottesville in December 2015, Honie Ann is focused on projects that facilitate the growth of social enterprise with a special passion for projects involving access, education and empowerment to all segments of the community around healthy, sustainable, locally grown food.
