Summer Conley

Summer is a graduate of James Madison University with a B.S. in Public Policy and Administration and a concentration in Public Management, with minors in Political Science and Nonprofit Management. She is passionate about nonprofit administration and community outreach. In her role at CNE, she delivers core support to the team and Charlottesville office, including finance and operations. Additionally, she provides administrative aid in conjunction with other coordinators across CNE teams and projects. Summer also ensures quality customer service to all stakeholders, support to our staff working from different locations, and assistance with CNE’s communications.

In this position, Summer continues to learn and build foundations of equity, justice, and reform. She spent the majority of her educational career advocating for marginalized communities, including her own. As an Appalachian woman, Summer is dedicated to the principles of equity. She is an avid activist and organizer around the Shenandoah Valley, and this involvement has helped her to develop an admiration for CNE and the support they provide. In her free time she enjoys hiking, exploring, baking, and traveling with her dogs, Billy and Skunk.
