Lauren Harris

Lauren (she/her/hers) joined CNE in September of 2022 as the Coordinator for Advancement and Communications. She will work closely with the Director of Advancement to strategically engage CNE stakeholders in their philanthropic journeys and relationship with the organization. Lauren will also support communications more broadly with our community via newsletters and social media.

Lauren earned a B.S. in both Sociology and Women’s Studies, with a minor in Social Welfare from Old Dominion University. She also brings her experience in elementary school education, communications, customer service, and program development to the forefront in this new role at CNE. Her lens to social justice and equity is framed around shared power, inclusivity, and intersectionality. This has extended to her community involvement in the eradication of power-based violence and advocacy for changing the social norms around this complex issue.

You can find Lauren snuggled up in a good blanket, perhaps with an intriguing book in hand or a movie on the television. She is also currently checking places off her travel list.
