Ian Coppage

Ian joined CNE as an intern in September 2018 and transitioned to staff after graduating from the University of Virginia in May 2019. In his current role, Ian is the manager of CNE operations, including administration, finance, HR, and systems management, and supports CNE’s data and advocacy functions. In addition, he serves as part gatekeeper, part problem solver, part advisor, and part project manager to meet CNE’s organizational goals and advance our mission and strategy.

Ian is from the small town of Madison, VA and his passion for nonprofits began during his studies towards a social entrepreneurship minor. He realized the value of nonprofits when he served on a committee at the Alliance for Interfaith Ministries (AIM). During his time at AIM, he realized how important nonprofits were to the Charlottesville community. In his free time he enjoys golfing, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and hiking with his dog, Shep. Ian holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia with a double major in Government and History and minor in Social Entrepreneurship.
