Get Ready to Step Into the Spotlight!

October 19, 2016

Organizations that are on the front lines of environmental and social issues find themselves managing crises and advocating for others who are not handed the mic. When the reporter comes to call, you want to be prepared to deliver your message.

Air time provides opportunity to shine as leaders in your field. Being able to speak effectively and efficiently about your organization’s mission and programs will impress your donors and educate your community. The revolution will not be televised, but your message will.

Television is a direct line to the emotions. Radio informs us as we drive to and from work. Interviews through these mediums have a far reach and a high impact. That’s why CNE is partnering with Paladin Media to ready you for the media spotlight. Getting Your Message Across to Your Audience will offer hands-on media presentation training to your communications team in a small group setting. This in depth workshop is limited to eight participants so register quickly!

It usually takes me more than three weeks to prepare a good impromptu speech. – Mark Twain

This worthy investment will help your spokespeople remain comfortable and professional in front of a camera and will include step-by-step instructions on:

  • How to “connect” with audiences
  • Taking charge of a TV news interview to get your points across
  • How to prepare for a presentation, a promotional video, and a one-on-one interview

Participants will meet at Paladin Media in Charlottesville. Everyone will have the opportunity to do an “on-camera” interview with a professional media trainer and receive positive constructive feedback.

P.S. A box lunch will be provided!
