2007 STEPPING STONES:  Stepping Stones includes data to identify positive and negative trends on a growing percentage of the 62 indicators chosen to measure child and family well-being. Stepping Stones is intended to provide accurate data, stimulate community dialogue and action regarding regional trends in the Charlottesville/Albemarle community.

2020 COMMUNITY PLAN ON AGING for the Thomas Jefferson Planning District: The 2020 Community Plan on Aging represents a major effort by citizens, providers and planners to make our community a great place to age.  The 2020 Community Plan on Aging represents a beginning step in a dynamic and ongoing process. This document outlines general recommendations for making this an age-friendly community for all ages.

BEAVOLUNTEER: A searchable database of opportunities in our community maintained by the United Way, Thomas Jefferson Area.  An agency may post volunteer openings and individuals can search for a position that will interest them.

BGN VIRGINIA LIFE AND RESOURCES: Contains Virginia-related business resources from the Business Growth Network. The mission of BGN is to promote the free exchange of entrepreneurial best practices and innovation among local and regional groups.

CAREGIVERS LIBRARYIt consists of hundreds of articles, forms, checklists and links to topic-specific external resources. The library is organized into the eighteen Caregivers Resources categories

CHARLOTTESVILLE/ALBEMARLE COMMISSION ON CHILDREN & FAMILIES:  The Commission, a 28-member planning and advisory body to the City of Charlottesville and County of Albemarle, works to improve outcomes for children and their families.  This organization compiles valuable information/statistics and makes them available to the public, such as the annual report Stepping Stones that takes the "temperature" of our children's needs.

CJ NETWORK: Creciendo Juntos - Growing Together:  An inter-agency organization created to address issues related to the Latino/Hispanic Community in Charlottesville and surrounding counties. Participate in meetings, read publications, find resources, and view upcoming events

FOCUS GROUP FACILITATION TEAM: Albemarle County has put together and trained a group of facilitators who are available to nonprofits to conduct focus groups for reduced rates. 

HUMAN SERVICES INVESTMENTS for the Charlottesville/Albemarle Community (FY 2004-2005):  Prepared by the Charlottesville/Albemarle Commission on Children and Families this report is the first-ever comprehensive community report consolidating data about local, state, federal and private investments during the fiscal year 2004-2005, totaling $486,050,228!  

HUMAN SERVICES STRATEGIC PLAN: Prepared by the Charlottesville/Albemarle Commission on Children and Families, this report focuses on the research and identification of human services needs in the area. 

MADISON HOUSE:  Madison House serves as the student volunteer center at the University of Virginia. We coordinate volunteers, develop leaders, build community partnerships and promote lifelong volunteer service. Madison House organizes service programs to address the needs of the community as well as the educational and personal growth objectives of students.

MONTICELLO AVENUE:  Monticello Avenue is a community network serving Charlottesville and Albemarle County.

NONPROFIT PRO BONO ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: The Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants provides pro bono financial planning assistance to Virginia 501(c)(3) organizations.

OUTREACH VIRGINIA: UVA has put together a large database of community programs, browsable by subject/area/program and searchable.

PORTICO: Developed by UVA researchers, this site provides links to many valuable sources of information for prospect research.

SCORE - The Service Core of Retired Executives: A nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth, and success of small business nationwide.  We have more than 20 counselors in our chapter. We provide FREE consulting services to both start-up and existing small businesses in our central Virginia service area which consists of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Culpeper, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, and Orange counties

THOMAS JEFFERSON PLANNING DISTRICT COMMISSION: This organization promotes sustainable planning and development in Charlottesville and the surrounding counties.  Areas of focus include the environment, housing, workforce development, and transportation.

UNIVERSITY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:  Each semester, UIP places about 250 University of Virginia undergraduate student interns with 175 sponsors in business, government and non-profit in the Charlottesville area.  The Internship Program can provide your organization with bright and energetic 4th-year students looking to gain "real-world experience."  Visit the web site to find out how you can become a sponsor and see experiential learning in action. UVA OFFICE OF COMMUNITY RELATIONS:  This office builds bridges between the University and the community by engaging in numerous outreach efforts, including those with neighborhood associations, nonprofit organizations, schools, and residents.

VIRGINIA OFFICE ON VOLUNTEERISM AND COMMUNITY SERVICE (OVCS) - OVCS serves organizations that strengthen their communities through volunteerism and service.
