Description

The Charlottesville Free Clinic seeks a strategic and energetic leader to serve as its next Executive Director.  The Charlottesville Free Clinic provides a high-quality medical, dental, mental health, and free medications for community members without affordable access to health care.  In 2019, the Free Clinic served over 2,600 community members and had over 8,000 patient visits.  The Free Clinic’s pharmacy filled 27,000 prescriptions (for 30 days).

Job Duties

Reporting the Board of Directors, the ED serves as the Chief Executive of the organization and provides strategic and operational leadership for CFC.  The ED partners closely with the Board, volunteers, and staff to achieve goals and objectives necessary to fulfill the mission of serving the community through an open door to healthcare.  The ED has the overall strategic and operational responsibility for staffing, program development and delivery in support of this mission.  The ED has responsibility for the entire staff and has four direct reports: the Director of Medical Clinic Operations; the Dentist; the Director of Pharmacy Operations; and the Marketing and Communications Manager.  The ED serves as the ambassador for CFC externally with patients, the community, donors, partners, and others.

• A good understanding of nonprofit governance, reporting requirements, and management, and demonstrated experience partnering with a Board of Directors.
• B.A./B.S. required with a Master’s degree preferred.
