Our Mission
-Helping all students and their families, with a focus on financially disadvantaged households, by:
-Giving inspiration and hope that their goals are attainable,
-Assisting them with the financial aid process and awarding scholarships, and
-Supporting them in the attainment of their post-secondary goals at the lowest possible cost.

Essential Job Functions – working in a highly collaborative, collegial work environment – primarily with the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Compliance and Program Officer – supporting the work of a cohort of financial aid Advisors working in high schools as well as supporting work for operations.

Job Duties

Database management:
-Maintaining the Quickbase database, providing support and training to staff and advisors in their usage of the system

Website management:
-Ensure the website content is up-to-date, making revisions as needed at the request of relevant staff members

IT Device Support:
-Work with IT consultant, ensure staff and advisors have appropriate equipment, support staff’s usage of that equipment

Programs Support:
-Assist with on-boarding of new hires, assist with key program tasks, vaying by season (e.g, summer texting, training, materials development, scholarships)

Operations Support:
-Board of Directors: provide technical logistical support, take minutes for Board meetings
-Software: Manage and maintain Microsoft and G suite, Mail Chimp accounts
-Licenses and subscriptions: obtain, track and maintain these for all systems

General Office Support
-Assistance to staff and advisors for telephone systems
-Coordinate large mailings
-Assist with mail, donations receipt, bank deposits

Reports Development
-Provide both data and research reports for varying audiences (e.g., staff, advisors, Board, government officials)

Skills Required

Required Qualifications:
-Commitment to the GRASP mission and embracing GRASP’s continuing efforts to grow in the areas of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, both within our organization, and in furtherance of our mission.
-Strong ability to develop expertise using new software/database products
-Strong skills in these areas: attention to details, oral and written communication, data confidentiality, problem-solving, time-management, and teamwork
-Education: Bachelors degree, Associates degree, or relevant workforce credential.

Preferred, but not required, qualifications:
-Work or volunteer experience working with diverse populations, especially with individuals from low income households
-Work or volunteer experience that developed communication and organization skills
-Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
-Database Experience
-Spanish language skills

Work Schedule

Full-time
Monday-Friday, 9:00-5:00

Additional Info

Salary and benefits
-Full time, nonexempt, annual salary: $43,000
-PTO, paid holidays, health/life/disability insurance

Location
-This position will work primarily in the office with occasional opportunities to work remotely with supervisor’s approval.
-There will be a small amount of travel, always within the state of Virginia.
-GRASP’s office in Richmond, VA.
